VINIFICATION

The juice comes exclusively from the first pressing. It is a Tête de Cuvée. All the grapes are harvesting in the Montagne de Reims area with great acidity potential in the terroir. As such to preserve the taste of the terroir, all vinification is in stainless steel for 9 months. Each bottle is manually disgorged on demand, currently with more than 23 years ageing on less before disgorgement. Full malolactic.

1996 & 1998 are of a quality that only comes twice a century, considered by some to be unmatched since the vintage of 1928. Great acidity potential; perfect balanced sugar at the harvest.

  • As a result, it has one of the longest ageing potential there is in Champagne.
  • Vintage Dosage 6 g/l but depends on the age of the wine
  • Dosage liquor matured in oak casks (currently 2015 vintage).
